Lay Member Led Retreats

Throughout the year, SRF lay members will typically lead several weekend retreats. The program begins on Friday evening and continues through the weekend, concluding with Sunday service and lunch. Several periods of group meditation are included, along with vegetarian meals and free time to enjoy the beauty of nature, our spiritual library, and personal communion with God. Announcements are typically sent out a couple of months ahead of time, and retreatants either stay on site or at local hotels or inns. The suggested donation for lay member led retreats is $165, which helps cover the cost of the program and upkeep of the retreat.

Mini-Retreats

We also host several “Mini-Retreats” each year, which often coincide with Commemorative Services which are held in honor of the birth or mahasamadhi (a Self-realized master’s final conscious exit from their physical body) of one of the lineage of six Gurus who established this spiritual path for the world. Mini-Retreats include a Saturday afternoon, evening, and Sunday program, and devotees stay overnight at the retreat on Saturday night. These retreats begin with a Saturday afternoon meditation, dinner, and evening program, Sunday meditation and reading service.

Notices and registration information for all retreats are sent out through our retreat email list, which you can join through our contact page.
