Monastic-Led Retreats

Each year, SRF monastics typically lead a regional retreat, which are tailored for men and women who are students of the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons. During these weekends, retreatants take part in a concentrated retreat program that includes longer periods of meditation, practice of the SRF meditation techniques, and classes on various aspects of Paramahansa Yogananda’s How-to-Live teachings. During periods of free time, retreatants can enjoy the beautiful grounds, trails, meditation pond, and spend time reading literature from our spiritual library. Conducted weekend retreats begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and conclude on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Because of the many requests we receive, reservations for conducted weekend retreats must be made in advance. Our retreats are typically scheduled a couple of months ahead of time, and an announcement with registration info is sent out to our retreat email list. If you would like to be on this list, please subscribe to our mailing list and check the box for “retreat” on the form. Lodging is typically available for up to ten retreatants (if monks are leading the retreat, only men stay on site, and if nuns are leading, only women stay) and those who do not stay on site stay in local hotels or inns. Meals are included for all of our conducted weekend retreats.
