Monastic-Led Retreats

Each year, SRF monastics typically lead two specially conducted regional retreats, which are tailored for men and women who are students of the Self-Realization Fellowship Lessons. During these weekends, retreatants take part in a concentrated retreat program that includes longer periods of meditation, practice of the SRF meditation techniques, and classes on various aspects of Paramahansaji’s How-to-Live teachings. During periods of free time, retreatants can enjoy the beautiful grounds, trails, meditation pond, and spend time reading literature from our spiritual library. Conducted weekend retreats begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and conclude on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Because of the many requests we receive, reservations for conducted weekend retreats must be made in advance. Our retreats are typically scheduled a couple of months ahead of time, and an announcement with registration info is sent out to our retreat email list. If you would like to be on this list, please contact us and provide your name, email address, city or town you are coming from, and whether or not you are an SRF lessons student (and if so, please let us know if you are also a Kriyaban).  Lodging is typically available for up to ten retreatants (if monks are leading the retreat, only men stay on site, and if nuns are leading, only women stay) and those who do not stay on site stay in local hotels or inns. Meals are included for all of our conducted weekend retreats.   The suggested donation for conducted weekend retreats is $165, which helps us to take care of travel expenses for the visiting monastics, along with meals and retreat upkeep.
